A “new build” luxury home for a family that reflected the owners’ love of French classical style. Symmetry and proportion were key for the facade of this home. Attention to detail, focus on the finish and quality was essential.
The dark timber and iron double feature doors are a bold contrast to the light rendered facade. The columns are made of stone imported from Jerusalem. Walking into the home you are met with a grand curved staircase, which is a true statement.
Each interior selection was made purposefully to enhance the concept of the home. For us, the main building highlight was the construction of the alfresco area. The doors can be stacked away to reveal a generous outdoor living space. The timbers of the feature beam ceiling align in perfection. Each rafter was adjusted and hand-cut to create the perfect symmetry. Each lining board again, given the same attention to detail. This craftsmanship in work and attention to detail was the key highlight for us on this project. While this home is a new build, it has the precision craftsmanship of an older style home and many traditional techniques and hand crafts used in this perfect construction finish.
